UPDATE: I’ve had this dance pad for 16 months now and it no longer works at all. I didn’t use it very much because it slid around too much but we had a friend who wanted to join in and I hooked it up and it didn’t work. I tested it in all the connection ports but it didn’t work. I don’t think it should be nonfunctional after such little use. Not recommended. I’m going to stick with the Konami pads.
OLD REVIEW: It works but I have a few issues with it. It slides around and I have to reposition it between every song which is a pain. Also, it sticks to bare feet though wearing socks is better in my opinion anyway. I’ve had it for a couple months now and it still doesn’t completely lay flat. The sides stick up a little off the floor. Hopefully that will stop with time. Lastly, it has an awful smell that has only diminished a little since I first opened the box. I don’t keep it in the box so it has plenty of time to air out but so far, it’s held on to much of that chemical, plastic-y odor.
Otherwise, the controls seem to work fine. It has the same pressure sensitivity as the original pad that comes with the game (DDR: Hottest Party). The cord is the same length, the graphics on the pad are clear. The bottom of the pad is soft. Compared to my original dance mat though, it’s just not as good.

As they say in the game, (well at least when I play) – “Not bad, but you could do better.” This pad is okay. It does tend to curl up at the edges and the result is the pad spins a bit when you’re stepping on it. If you want a second pad this is a good choice. If your original pad is gone, this is a poor substitute.

Besides it has a bad smell. It doesn’t work in my DDR 2. The game recognize it as a game cube controller it never appears as a dance mat. Totally waste of money. I hope I get my money back. Go for the original, it would be like $10 higher but it’s going to work.
Bottom line… Its really bad!

I bought this for my Wii. It let me select 2 players using the wii remote, but the pad doesn’t work for some reason. I’m gonna go ahead and buy the original dance pad for Wii.
