    NO turn it off DONT leave it on or standby
    My next door neighbours TV in there house blew up as they left there wii plugged in by standby it wasnt a little fire either

    Just think all there old possesions lost – family pictures
    And all that wasting money to repair jus for leavin a wii plugged in over night on stand by…

    It has been shown that leaving the Wii in Standby mode (amber light) can lead to overheating, and you can ruin the console.

    Yes it is absolutely safe as long as you keep the air filter without obstruction and are willing to pay the extra money on your electric bill.

    Do you mean green-light on, or just in standby? Leaving it in standby mode should be fine, as long as it’s not shut in a cabinet and there’s good airflow. I wouldn’t recommend leaving it ON and running overnight; you’d risk overheating the system. That’s how I accidentally killed my first Gamecube.

    i leave my Wii on a lot…nothing bad ever happend, but just turn it off, or on standby rather…mine on standby all the time, well when im not playing. haha But id recomend to just turn it on stand by, but even if you dont, you’ll be okay, just dont do it too often
